The Leather-Accessories Maker Serapian Opens Its First U.S. Flagship Store on Rodeo Drive

Serapian has opened its first U.S. flagship store, bringing the Milanese brand’s entire line of luxury leather accessories to Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, Calif. Famed for creating iconic leather handbags for Audrey Hepburn, Ingrid Bergman, and other 1950s starlets, Serapian was founded in 1945 by the Armenian-born leatherworker Stefano Serapian and his Florentine wife, Gina, whom he met after moving to Milan. After decades of success in its home country, Serapian has moved stateside as part of an international expansion plan spearheaded by the brand’s CEO, Gina and Stefano’s son Ardavast Serapian.

The Italian spirit continues to be a fundamental aspect of the growing company’s identity. All of the 1,076-square-foot Beverly Hills flagship’s offerings are crafted entirely in Italy, as are its walnut, brass, and crystal furnishings. The boutique offers the company’s complete collection of men’s and women’s fine leather goods (from $1,000 to $3,000), as well as its luggage collection (from $1,500 to $3,000) and bespoke pieces in exotic skins.
